Approval in 5 days

The Alarm Clock iPhone application (iTunes link) was approved for sale at the iTunes App store just 5 days after the code was submitted. It should show up in the store in the next couple of days.

Blackjack does not speak German

When the Blackjack program showed up in the iTunes App store there was a surprising bit of information on the description page. According to the App store the program supported German. I quickly went to the iTunes Connect management page to see where I entered in this incorrect information but it was no where to be found. Not even the preview page for the application listed that German was supported.

Apparently the App store looks in the application bundle and lists as supported any language with a localized string file even if there is nothing in the file. Blackjack was written to support multiple languages and a German localized string file was created as a test but all translations were removed before the game was released.

A new version of Blackjack without the German string file will be submitted shortly.
